Rosemary “Rosie” Mooney, 90, of Charlotte, died
on October 9, 2014.
She grew up in New York. After moving to Maryland she met
the love of her life, William Mooney and was married to him for 44 years until
his death in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Although
challenged by Alzheimer’s she was sweet and caring until the end of her life.
She enjoyed laughing and playing with her grandson, Joseph, throughout her
final days.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Pat Mayhew, son-in-law, Mac
and her only grandchild, Joseph of Charlotte. She leaves her beloved sister and
best friend, Frances of Maryland, her niece Kathy, nephews, Michael and Tommy
and their families. The family wishes to express gratitude to Hospice of
Charlotte and Elmcroft at Little Avenue for the compassionate care they
provided.
A funeral mass will be held on Fri. October 17 at 11am at Our Lady of
Grace Church in Silver Spring, MD. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Charlotte, NC 28205 for their book fund or Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th
St. Charlotte, NC 28204.
