He was born in Charlotte, N.C. on September 8, 1939, to the late Henry Sloan Furr and Mary Mullis Furr. He was a 1957 graduate of Harding High School, marrying Jeanette Wood also from Harding. They have two sons, Richard who is married to Marites who has one son, Mateo; and Bryan, Jr., who is married to Jule Matthews; they have one son, Christian, and one daughter, Jordan.
After his retirement as a real estate broker, Bryan spent many peaceful hours with a fishing rod in his hand. Left to cherish his memories are Jeanette, who remained faithful, taking care of Bryan through sickness and pain; his two sons and their families; a brother, Johnny and his wife, Beverly; three sisters and their families, Brenda Watson and her husband, Stan, Sandee Kiser and Tammy Coyle and her husband, Peter, and other nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 920 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC. on Sunday, February 9th at 2:00 pm.
