| James Ralph Iannuzzo March 11, 1923 - July 13, 2014 |
He was born March 11, 1923 in Syracuse, NY to the late Angelo Iannuzzo and Antoinette Digioia. The eldest and last surviving of five siblings, James grew up during the depression and that blessed him with great family values, along with a wonderful sense of humor - he was always the comedian in the crowd. An avid golfer, he retired in Largo, FL after a long career in electronics and ceramics.
He is survived by his son, James M. Iannuzzo, daughter-in-law, Sharon of Charlotte; granddaughter, Kimberly Iannuzzo Linkner, her husband Brit Linkner, and great-grandchildren Zac and Jay Linkner, all of Huntersville, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Syracuse area.
A Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, in the Chapel of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Charlotte with Rev. Francis O'Rourke, Celebrant. Committal will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg Florida where a Military Honor Guard will honor James for his WWII service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Hawthorne Ln., Charlotte, NC 28204.
