Peter Hart of Charlotte, passed from life peacefully on July 20, 2014, at Southminster.
He was born on June 20, 1924, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army during the Second World War, landing on Omaha Beach under fire on D-Day plus 12.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margery; daughter and son-in-law, Desire' and Dick Osman; grandson, Judge Matt Osman and wife Allison; of Charlotte, granddaughter; Lacey Osman Trumbo and husband, Major Ryan Trumbo, of Pinehurst, N.C., and five beautiful great-grandchildren.
A kind, generous and caring man, Peter is already greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Southminster on Saturday, July 26th at 11:00 am.
