Ruth Bensen DiFranco, 68, of Charlotte, NC, passed away in her home on October 20, 2014. Ruth was born in Staten Island, New York on August 30, 1946 to Helen and Bjarne Bensen. She graduated from Curtis High School in 1963.
Ruth worked as Administrative Assistant at Western Connecticut University and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her three grandchildren, Caroline, Max, and Penny. Ruth is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Dawn; son-in-law, Bobby; and sister, Jean Richardson. She was predeceased by her sister, Peggy Suderow.
Ruth will be missed for her caring and generous nature.
Memorial services were held at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC on October 23, 2014. There will be an additional service for family and friends in Danbury, CT in April, 2015.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
