Benjamin Monroe Longenecker, 11, passed away in his
home in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. He was born on
August 11, 2002, in Dallas, Texas to loving parents Jeffrey and Leslie
Longenecker.
In his brother Nicholas' words, "Ben was the best brother in
the world because he was always so helpful."
Ben loved to create and play
music on his keyboard. He was a curious boy and craved knowledge. He loved to
read adventure and science fiction; his favorite books were the Percy Jackson
series. He had a passion for science and innovation and loved investigating
these subjects online.
Ben is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Leslie of
North Carolina; his brother Nicholas. He also leaves his paternal grandparents
Woody and Erma Miller of Pennsylvania; and his maternal grandmother Candace
Sanders of Arizona. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Hill Church, Fort Mill
Campus on Wednesday, May 14th 2014, at 6:00 P.M.
