Born On December 8, 1941, in Olean, NY, he was the son of Norman and Dorthea Weldy. He was employed at Olean Tile Plant for 37 years and was also an honorably discharged veteran. He married Beverly Work on Oct 8, 1983 in Portville, NY. Along with his wife, he is survived by 13 children, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister Yvonne Weber and husband, a brother Norman Weldy and wife plus several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 10 am at Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 3413 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd, Charlotte NC 28216 where a memorial will be held Saturday (February 8, 2014) at 11 am.
Memorials may be made to donatehospice.org for Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte or Levine and Dickson Hospice House in lieu of flowers per his wishes.
