Mrs. Ison was preceded in death by her husband Wade H. Ison III and together they had four children, their spouses and eight grandchildren: Virginia Ison Knox, Wade H. & Donna Ison IV& their 4 children, Kenni I. & Andy Setzer & David Miller Ison. Her older grandchildren are Robert Taylor Knox, III & Miles David Hampton Knox; Hunter Payne & Peyton Spencer Setzer.
Mrs. Ison was an acclaimed, published illustrator and the owner of an award winning advertising agency. She attended Queens College where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She had been a Rainbow Girl, a member of the Junior League, the Daughters of the American Revolution, & the Symphony Guild.
Diana was a cherished friend & much loved mother.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th at 11:30 am at St. Peters Episcopal Church at 7th & Tryon Streets with a reception immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice or a visual arts organization of your choice.
