Whisenant, 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Arab died Tuesday, May
6, 2014 in Hospice House Southminster in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Whisenant was born October 30, 1926 in Marshall County, the son of Herbert and Carrie Hendrix Whisenant. He was married nearly 60 years to the former Ramona King when she preceded him in death April 21, 2012.
He was a member of the Arab Church of Christ and served his Country in the United States Navy during World War II; he also served in the Korean War.
He is survived by a son: Jim Ed Whisenant; daughter and son-in-law: Robin and Frank Lowe; 2 grandchildren: Hannah Lowe and Ross Lowe; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Willadene and Carl Hendrick and Martha Sue Chapman.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Arab Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday May 9, 2014 at the Arab Church of
Christ, Brother Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial will be in Brock's Chapel
Cemetery, Union Grove, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Mark Chapman, Frank Lowe, Ross Lowe, Tom McCrary, Jimmy Whisenant and Michael Whisenant.
